Ulster County resident Damon Foy, 50, of Kerhonkson, faces charges for allegedly murdering Alberta Dale, 44, from Pennsylvania, and dismembering her body.
Foy was arraigned in Ulster County Court on Friday, April 19, where he was remanded to Ulster County Jail without bail. The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office revealed that Foy committed the murder between Sunday, March 31, and Monday, April 1. Dale’s remains were discovered during an investigation on Wednesday, April 3.
The Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation on April 1 after a welfare check at Foy’s residence yielded no results, prompting a missing person probe. Property belonging to Dale was found on April 2, and subsequent actions led to search warrants for Foy’s residence.
Foy was arrested on April 3 and faces additional charges including aggravated criminal contempt and concealment of a human corpse. Ulster County Sheriff Juan Figueroa condemned the act, promising justice for the victim and her family during a press conference after the arraignment.
