No Physical or Written Test Needed: Manchester PD is Hiring

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Manchester Township Police Department is currently seeking candidates for police officer positions, highlighting a unique approach to the hiring process. In a recent announcement, the department noted that it would not require a physical fitness test or written test for applicants.

The department is instead focusing on evaluating candidates based on their resumes, experience, character, and interviews. This method aims to assess the deeper qualities necessary for effective law enforcement professionals, beyond mere physical capabilities.

Applicants are required to be either NJ PTC certified, currently enrolled in a certified police academy, or certified for the Basic Course for Class Two Special Law Enforcement Officers with NJPTC Waiver Eligibility within 6 months.
