Multiple People Stabbed During Fights in Utica

Utica, NY – Utica Police Officers responded to a large disorderly group on Whitesboro St early Thursday morning. Amid attempts to disperse the group, a physical altercation ensued, resulting in multiple stabbings.

The victims were promptly transported to Wynn Hospital, with one victim in extremely critical condition.

One victim sustained life-threatening injuries, requiring immediate surgery due to a pierced heart. Despite serious condition, the medical team managed to save his life.

The Utica Police Department Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident based on the injuries’ severity. Subsequently, police and fire units were dispatched to a second unrelated stabbing incident on Court St.

In this second case, an altercation between two parties culminated in one individual stabbing the other multiple times. Fortunately, these injuries were not deemed life-threatening.

The Criminal Investigations Division has taken charge of this case. Authorities urge anyone with information on either incident to reach out to the Utica Police Department Criminal Investigations Division or provide an anonymous tip through Mohawk Valley Crime Stoppers.
