Newark Police Asking For Your Help to Identify Commercial Robbery Suspects

NEWARK, NJ—Newark’s Public Safety Director, Fritz G. Fragé, is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying suspects involved in a robbery that occurred on Wednesday, May 15. The incident took place at a business on the 300 block of Clinton Place.

Details provided by the Newark Police Department indicate that the victim was making a delivery when three suspects broke into his vehicle, triggering the alarm. They began removing boxes, and when the victim confronted them, one suspect punched him, causing him to fall. The suspects then kicked the victim multiple times before fleeing in a 2011 Kia Sorrento, which has been recovered by the police.

The suspects are described as follows:

  • Suspect 1: Light-skinned male, dressed in blue sweatpants, a blue and gray hooded sweater, black, blue, and white sneakers, wearing a black mask and a black hat.
  • Suspect 2: Black male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, white and black shoes, and a black mask.
  • Suspect 3: Black male, attired in a gray hooded sweatshirt, light blue jeans, and black, gray, and white sneakers.
