NYPD Manhunt for Rape Suspect in Queens Underway

QUEENS, NY—A violent attack on a woman was reported on Thursday inside a commercial building near 162nd Street and Northern Boulevard in New York City.

An unidentified male reportedly assaulted a 37-year-old woman at around 10:00 PM. The assailant, who brandished a knife, sexually assaulted the victim and subsequently stole an undetermined amount of money and property.

Following the assault, the victim was transported to New York-Presbyterian Queens, where she was listed in stable condition.

The perpetrator fled the scene on foot in an undetermined direction. Authorities are actively seeking a male suspect last observed wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, and white sneakers. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
