ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA— The Albemarle County Police Department responded to a shooting on Timberland Lane early Monday morning. At approximately 2:30 AM, officers were called to the scene in the 300 Block of Timberland Lane following reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, they discovered property damage and an adult female with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was promptly transported to UVA Health for treatment.
Authorities have assured the public that this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to community safety. The investigation into the shooting remains active.
