by Breaking Local News Report

SEVERN, MD – In a recent incident on June 16, near the intersection of Stillmeadows Drive and Jacobs Road, three young suspects were arrested following an attempted armed robbery.

At around 9:50 AM, Severn police responded to reports of an armed robbery involving a group of male juveniles attempting to rob a 59-year-old man. A bystander’s intervention caused the suspects to flee the scene, but they were apprehended shortly thereafter by the responding officers. The weapon used in the attempt was not recovered.

Detectives are exploring connections between this incident and a similar attempted robbery that occurred on June 15 (Case # 24-721482). The suspects, two 13-year-olds and one 12-year-old from Severn, are currently in custody as investigations continue.
