BRONX, NY—A distressing incident occurred Tuesday afternoon when a 12-year-old girl was assaulted aboard an MTA bus. The assault took place around 3:15 PM near West 162 Street and Ogden Avenue. An unknown male approached the young victim, seated on the bus, and forcibly touched her over her clothing.
After the incident, the perpetrator fled the scene on foot heading eastbound on East 161 Street. Emergency Medical Services treated the victim at the scene following the assault.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 145 pounds, with a medium complexion. He was last observed wearing a black baseball cap, white t-shirt, black pants with white stripes down the sides, and white sneakers.
Authorities are requesting anyone with information about this incident to contact the police as they continue to search for the suspect.
