Man Murdered Thursday Night in Trenton, Shot Multiple Times

TRENTON, NJ — The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Thursday night in Trenton.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on July 4, Trenton police responded to a report of a shooting in progress in the 800 block of Stuyvesant Avenue. Officers arrived to find Amir Williams, 32, of Trenton, on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. Williams was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

During the investigation, a second victim, an adult female, arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to her right hip.
