PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Authorities are investigating a tragic incident in Parsippany where an eight-year-old boy was fatally struck by a vehicle. Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Chief Richard Pantina announced the investigation.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:34 p.m. on July 9, 2024, in the area of 189 Littleton Road. A 2022 Mazda CX5 struck the boy, who was believed to be riding a bicycle at the time. Paramedics from Denville Saint Clare’s and Par-Troy EMS responded, but the boy was declared deceased at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
