EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – Lily Philipczak delivered 15 self-care kits for survivors to the East Brunswick Police headquarters yesterday.
Philipczak, a Survivor Outreach Intern with Promoting Awareness Victim Empowerment (PAVE), a national non-profit organization, created these kits as part of her passion project. PAVE focuses on supporting and empowering survivors and preventing sexual violence through education, advocacy, and community action.
The self-care kits include various items designed to help survivors, such as chapstick, a pen, a notepad, small hand sanitizer, travel-size lotion, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush, facial wipes, a hair comb, a small pack of crayons, a coloring book, a tissue pack, a small affirmational stone, and a small whistle.
Philipczak, an East Brunswick resident and Class of 2022 alumni, is currently interning at the Attorney General’s Office in Victim Witness Advocacy.
The East Brunswick Police Department expressed gratitude for Philipczak’s contribution and her dedication to supporting survivors.
