Three Charged for Terroristic Threats in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ—Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced the arrest of three men by the Prosecutor’s Office Internal Affairs Unit. The arrests, which occurred on Thursday, July 18,, follow an investigation into allegations of terroristic threats and burglary.

Mario Albero, 45, faces charges including Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Burglary, both involving the use of a baseball bat. Additionally, Adrian Tejada, 28, and Robert Nunez, 41, who are both off-duty Jersey City Police Officers, have been charged with three counts each of Terroristic Threats and Burglary.

The investigation revealed that the incidents occurred on January 28, when the defendants allegedly entered a private structure on Zabriskie Street in Jersey City and made threats against multiple individuals. All three men were arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and have been released pending their initial court appearances. The case continues to unfold as legal proceedings are set to commence.
