NYPD Manhunt for Fugitive Wanted for Attempted Murder

NEW YORK CITY, NY — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted murder that took place within the 47th Precinct.

The incident occurred early on Saturday, August 10, 2024, around 12:40 AM at the intersection of White Plains Road and East 219th Street.

According to reports, an unknown male approached a 35-year-old male victim, brandished a firearm, and fired one shot, which missed the victim.

The suspect then fled on foot in an unspecified direction. The victim escaped without injury.

The suspect is described as a male, aged between 18 and 25 years. He was last seen wearing a black durag, a white shirt, black pants, black and white sneakers, and was carrying a black backpack.
