Off-Duty NYC Corrections Officer Arrested on Illegal Gun Charge

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — An off-duty New York City corrections officer was arrested early Sunday morning on weapons charges in the 14th Precinct.

The officer, identified as 32-year-old Patrick Falls, was taken into custody at approximately 2:21 a.m. Falls has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.

Details surrounding the circumstances of the arrest have not been disclosed by authorities. The 14th Precinct, covering Midtown Manhattan, is handling the investigation.

The New York City Department of Correction has not yet released a statement regarding the arrest of Officer Falls.
