12-Year-Old Boy Arrested for Burglary at St. John’s University

NEW YORK — The NYPD has arrested three individuals in connection with a burglary at St. John’s University in Queens, following an ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred on August 20, 2024, authorities said.

On September 18, 2024, a 12-year-old male was arrested and charged with burglary, third-degree burglary, and criminal possession of stolen property. Earlier, on September 3, a 17-year-old male was also arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, and third-degree criminal trespass.

Additionally, on August 23, Emanuel Yakubov, a 25-year-old male from Queens, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny, third-degree criminal trespass, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

The arrests stem from a burglary that occurred on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., when two unidentified male individuals unlawfully entered 168-10 Goethals Avenue at St. John’s University.

The suspects removed various items and fled the scene on a moped, traveling westbound on Union Turnpike. No injuries were reported.

Police are still seeking additional suspects in connection with the burglary and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals depicted in the attached media. The investigation is ongoing.
