STAFFORD, VA – The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office released an incident report covering various criminal activities that occurred recently within the county.

On Saturday, a resident on Maple Street reported an abduction to Deputy R.M. Dunn after receiving a call claiming her aunt was kidnapped. Deputy Dunn’s investigation revealed the claim was a scam, as the aunt was safely at work.

Late on Saturday night, staff at Dalo Motors on Richmond Highway reported a larceny incident at 11:06 p.m. Deputy J.J. Suh arrived to find an unknown male had stolen keys and driven off in a Hyundai Sonata.

On the same day at 1:24 p.m., Deputy F.C. O’Neill responded to Rivermont School on Pulte Drive for a larceny. The school’s bus had its catalytic converter stolen.

Later that evening, Deputy R.T. Philippsen was called to the 7-Eleven on Richmond Highway at 7:07 p.m. Staff reported a suspect stole over $1,800 worth of lottery ticket rolls.
