One Dead in Hit-and-Run Crash on Broad Street in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A 56-year-old man died Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident on North Broad Street, authorities said.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:29 p.m. in the 3900 block of the street, according to police reports. Philadelphia Fire Department’s Medic 33 responded to the scene and transported the man to Albert Einstein Medical Center.

The victim, who was in critical condition upon arrival at the hospital, was pronounced dead shortly after at 7:34 p.m., police confirmed.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division is currently investigating the incident. No further details on the driver or vehicle involved have been released.
