Fort Lee Police Officers Honored at Valor Awards Dinner

Fort Lee, NJ – The Bergen County 200 Club hosted its Annual Valor Awards Dinner on Thursday evening, acknowledging the notable efforts of several first responders. Personnel from the Fort Lee Police Department were recognized for their involvement in two separate life-saving incidents.

Sergeant Andres Kim received the Distinguished Service Award for his role in a critical incident earlier this year. His efforts contributed to saving a life, highlighting the dedication and commitment of law enforcement officials in the line of duty.

In a separate incident, several officers from the Fort Lee Police Department were honored with the John R. Rinaldi Unit Citation. The recipients included Sergeant Cory Horton, Sergeant Joseph Zevits, Sergeant Dillon Turner, Detective Nicole Busanic, Officer Carmen Firenze, Officer Andrew Lakawicz, Officer Ralph Liquori, and Officer Daniel Munoz. Their joint efforts were instrumental in saving multiple lives.

Police Chief Matthew J. Hintze, alongside the Command Staff, extended their congratulations to all the awardees. This recognition underscores the teamwork and bravery exhibited by the department’s staff during high-stakes situations.
