Suffolk County, NY – The Suffolk County Police Department participated in the recent Faith & Blue events held in collaboration with various local religious institutions. Organized in each precinct, these events aimed to foster relationships between law enforcement officers and community members through shared activities and initiatives.
The collaboration provided opportunities for community engagement, where residents contributed to local drives by donating food and clothing. These events offered a platform for meaningful interactions between police officers and the public they serve.
During the event, officers from the Sixth Precinct participated in a cooking competition against members of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office. The competition concluded with the Sheriff’s Office securing the win.
The National Faith & Blue Weekend focuses on creating secure and inclusive communities by strengthening the connection between law enforcement and the community. The Suffolk County Police Department expressed gratitude to participants and looks towards future events.
