Gunfire Shakes Utica Neighborhood, Luckily Nobody Was Hit

Utica, NY – On Tuesday at approximately 7:10 PM, the Utica Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire on the 200 block of Lansing Street.

Upon reaching the location, officers discovered four spent shell casings in the vicinity pointed out by the alert. Following an investigation, it was determined that a vehicle approached a male individual, and the vehicle’s occupants fired multiple shots, which did not hit the targeted individual.

The Utica Police Department’s GIVE Unit is currently investigating the matter. They are requesting that anyone with relevant information contact them at (315) 223-3550.
