Teen reported missing in Northwest Philadelphia; Police seek public’s help

PHILADELPHIA – Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Alyssa Novak, who was reported missing earlier this week in the city’s 14th Police District.

Novak was last seen leaving her home on the 400 block of East Locust Avenue on Monday at approximately 10:20 p.m., according to the Philadelphia Police Department. She has not been seen or heard from since.

The missing teen is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing 137 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Police have not released details about what Novak was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

The Northwest Detective Division is leading the investigation into Novak’s case. Authorities urge anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the division at 215-686-3053 or call 911.

This case adds to ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address missing persons cases in Philadelphia.
