Ocean County woman arrested on burglary and theft charges

OCEAN COUNTY, N.J. — Belkis Maria Herrera, 38, was arrested on November 30, 2024, and faces charges of burglary and theft by unlawful taking, according to inmate records from the Ocean County Correctional Facility.

Herrera was charged with burglary under New Jersey Statute 2C:18-2B(1), a second-degree offense, and theft by unlawful taking under 2C:20-3A, a fourth-degree offense.

She was booked without bail, and no detainers or aliases were listed in her record. Her projected release date remains undetermined as the case progresses through the legal system.

Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances of the alleged crimes, including the value of the property involved or the location of the burglary.
