COLUMBIA, Md. — Nearly 90 children and their families gathered on Saturday for the Howard County Police Foundation’s annual youth holiday party, an event designed to spread holiday cheer and support the local community.

The celebration, organized by the Howard County Police Department’s School Resource Officers and youth engagement section, featured a catered lunch, crafts, games, prizes, and dancing. A special visit from Santa Claus delighted the children, who each received a bag filled with winter essentials, toys, and sports equipment.
