WASHINGTON, DC – A suspect armed with a handgun robbed a business on Pennsylvania Avenue in Southeast Saturday evening, prompting a search by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The robbery occurred at approximately 5:39 p.m. in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The suspect entered the store, pointed a handgun at an employee, and stole property before fleeing the scene.
Nearby surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect, which police have released in an effort to identify the individual involved.
