FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA – A 31-year-old Annandale man has been arrested and charged with 15 counts of possessing child pornography following an investigation by the Fairfax County Police Department.
The investigation began on November 28 after the department’s Major Crimes Bureau Child Exploitation Unit received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip alleged that an individual was uploading Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) online.
Detectives identified the suspect as Danh Nguyen and uncovered evidence that he had distributed CSAM. Further investigation revealed additional child pornography on Nguyen’s electronic devices.
Nguyen was taken into custody and is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
