Annapolis, MD- Thirty-nine individuals were indicted in connection to a drug-trafficking ring on the Eastern Shore following a coordinated investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies.

The covert operation, launched in Spring by Wicomico Narcotics, involved the Maryland Department of State Police, the Fruitland Police Department, the Office of the State’s Attorney for Wicomico County, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. It culminated in the indictment of participants of the drug trafficking operation in Wicomico County. The effort was joined by more than two local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, targeting illegal drug activities, including cocaine and fentanyl, in Wicomico, Dorchester, and Baltimore counties.

In August, multiple search and seizure warrants were executed by Wicomico Narcotics and the DEA Salisbury Regional Office in the targeted counties. These operations led to the discovery of over 2,500 grams of suspected cocaine, nearly 30 grams of fentanyl, other illicit drugs, fourteen firearms, and four vehicles utilized for drug transport.
