PHILADELPHIA, PA – A Pennsylvania Lottery player is celebrating a major win after purchasing a Fast Play ticket worth $168,960 at a Philadelphia Wawa on Friday, December 13.

The progressive top prize-winning ticket for the $10 Break the Ice game was sold at the Wawa located at 2535 Aramingo Avenue. As a result, the retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Break the Ice is a Fast Play game that offers progressive top prizes starting at $125,000. Unlike Scratch-Off games, Fast Play tickets are printed on demand and do not require scratching or waiting for a drawing.

The Pennsylvania Lottery advises the winner to immediately sign the back of the ticket and contact the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481. All prizes over $5,000 are subject to applicable taxes, and winners have one year from the ticket’s purchase date to claim their prize.

Friday the 13th turned out to be anything but unlucky for one Philadelphia lottery player.
