PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD — A Sunday morning drive turned fatal for 40-year-old Sindy Fuentes Rojas of Adelphi, who died in a single-vehicle crash on Muirkirk Road in Beltsville near Blue Ponds Park, police said.
Officers responding to the 8000 block of Muirkirk Road around 9:45 a.m. found Fuentes Rojas in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Rojas was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Fuentes Rojas was driving east on Muirkirk Road when, for reasons still under investigation, she lost control and collided with a tree. No other injuries were reported.
