JACKSON, N.J. — The Jackson Township Council has announced a special meeting for Thursday, January 30, after an error in the advertisement of the 2025 meeting schedule led to the cancellation of its previously planned session.
In a statement issued on Monday, Council President Jennifer Kuhn explained that the mistake, made by the township’s former municipal clerk, was uncovered by new clerk Sandra Martin. The error meant the council was not in compliance with public meeting notification requirements.

“To ensure that we stay on track, a special meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, January 30,” Kuhn wrote. “The Executive Session will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by the regular meeting at 6:30 PM.”
Kuhn thanked Martin for promptly identifying the oversight and assured residents that the council remains committed to transparency. “We acknowledge the mistake and are committed to correcting it,” she said.
