WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are searching for six suspects involved in an armed robbery early Wednesday morning in the 2900 block of 2nd Street, Southeast, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. when a group, including one armed suspect, allegedly carried out the robbery before fleeing the scene in a silver Kia Forte with a broken rear driver’s side window.
Authorities described one suspect as a Black female wearing boots with fur and armed with a handgun. The other five individuals, believed to be between 17 and 20 years old, have not been further identified.
Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or submit anonymous tips via the department’s text tip line at 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to arrests and convictions.
Police continue to investigate the armed robbery as they search for the suspects and the getaway vehicle.
