Man assaulted, robbed of lunchbox in Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police are searching for a suspect who assaulted and robbed a man of his lunchbox before fleeing on an MTA bus last week, authorities said.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m. in front of 25 Victory Boulevard. According to police, an unidentified male approached a 26-year-old man and punched him in the face before forcibly taking his lunchbox. The suspect then boarded an S46 MTA bus and fled the scene.

The victim sustained bruising to his face but declined medical attention.

Authorities have not released a description of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact the NYPD as the investigation continues.
