TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The annual Downtown Toms River Farmer’s Market officially opened Wednesday, drawing crowds eager to shop for fresh produce, crafts, and treats.
Running every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the market will continue through October 1. The event takes place at 33 Washington St., in the Municipal Courtyard of Downtown Toms River.
Organizers said the community response has been strong. “We have been getting calls daily because people are just so excited for fresh produce, crafts and treats,” Downtown Toms River posted on social media.

This year’s market is sponsored by several local businesses and organizations, including Celebrity Ford of Toms River, M&T Bank, Renewal by Andersen, and 92.7 WOBM. Additional support comes from Jersey Arts, MSNJ Street Team, Ocean County Tourism, and local radio stations including WRAT 95.9 and WJRZ 100.1.
The event is organized by Downtown Toms River’s Business Improvement District, which aims to promote community engagement and economic growth in the township.
Market draws vendors and visitors each week

The market features a variety of vendors offering seasonal fruits and vegetables, handmade crafts, baked goods, and specialty items. Both residents and visitors have been turning out to browse the selections and support local businesses.
