TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The Toms River Summer Concert Series kicks off Tuesday night with a performance by children’s musician Mr. Ray at Shelter Cove Beach, located at 1390 Bay Avenue. The show begins at 7 p.m. and admission is free.

Hosted by Mayor Dan Rodrick and Toms River Recreation, the event invites families to bring blankets or chairs and enjoy live music and food in a relaxed, outdoor setting. Mr. Ray is known for his interactive performances geared toward young audiences.

The Summer Concert Series is alcohol-free, pet-free, and smoke-free. Drones are not permitted at the venue, and there will be no parking allowed on Bay Avenue.

“We invite residents to pull up a beach chair or watch the show from their boat in the bay,” said Mayor Dan Rodrick. “This year, we have a great lineup of family-friendly concerts on the beach, with fireworks and I can’t wait to see everyone come out.”

In the event of inclement weather, any cancellations will be posted on the Toms River Township Facebook page by 12 p.m. the day of the event.

The concert is part of a series of free public performances scheduled throughout the summer, aimed at providing family-friendly entertainment to local residents.
