AKRON, OH – The Akron Police Department responded to an unusual traffic hazard around 6 PM yesterday when multiple calls reported a cow on the highway. The cow was spotted on the highway near I-77N and I-76E after allegedly falling out of a trailer. The vehicle that was hauling the cow did not stop and continued on its route.
After managing to make its way onto I-76E, the cow was successfully corralled by authorities. At approximately 7:45 PM, a representative from FOCUS Rescue & Rehabilitation arrived at the scene and safely transported the cow to their facility. The cow will remain under their care until the owner can be identified and contacted.
