Police Search for Suspect in D.C. ATM Attack

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A suspect involved in an attempted robbery and assault in Northwest D.C. is being sought by police, who are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying him. The incident occurred on August 3, 2024, at approximately 10:21 a.m. in the 1300 block of Irving Street, Northwest.

The victim was at an ATM when the suspect approached, demanding money and subsequently assaulting the victim. The suspect fled without obtaining any property.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect, which have been released to aid in identification.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or the incident is encouraged to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or text the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
