WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police in D.C. are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in Northeast Washington on Sunday afternoon, leaving one man dead and a woman injured.

At approximately 2:53 p.m. on September 1, officers from the Sixth District responded to reports of a stabbing in the 900 block of Division Avenue, Northeast. Before officers arrived, a 23-year-old man suffering from stab wounds self-transported to the Sixth District police station seeking assistance. He was subsequently transported by DC Fire and EMS to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead after lifesaving efforts failed.

The deceased has been identified as Gray Hall, a resident of Northeast Washington.

A second victim, an adult female, was found at the scene on Division Avenue with stab wounds. She was taken to an area hospital by DC Fire and EMS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The MPD is actively investigating the incident and encourages anyone with information to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or to text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this homicide.
