BRONX, N.Y. — Police are investigating a theft involving an Uber Eats delivery in the Bronx, where a purse containing approximately $10,000 was reported stolen from an apartment. The incident occurred early on Friday, Sept. 13, at a residential building near Haviland and Olmstead avenues.

According to the NYPD, the 27-year-old victim had ordered food via Uber Eats and requested that the delivery be placed through an open window of her apartment. The delivery person, however, left the order at the apartment door instead.

Following the delivery, the individual is reported to have taken a purse from the open window, which contained roughly $10,000 in cash. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

Police have not identified the delivery worker involved and are seeking further information as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the theft.
