Bronx Woman Kicked and Punched Before Perps Make Off with $5 and a Cell Phone

BRONX, N.Y. — Police are searching for two suspects involved in a violent robbery of a 54-year-old woman that took place early on Sunday, October 13, in the Bronx.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:50 a.m. in front of 264 Brook Avenue. According to the NYPD, the woman was approached by two unidentified individuals who pushed her to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked her before stealing her purse, cell phone, and $5 in cash.

Following the attack, the suspects fled eastbound on East 139th Street. The victim, though shaken, refused medical attention at the scene.

One of the suspects is described as a male with a dark complexion and a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a backwards baseball cap, a gray striped sweater, dark pants, dark sneakers, and was reportedly walking with a cane.

Police are asking anyone with information on the suspects or the incident to come forward as the investigation remains ongoing.
