Teens arrested in Atlantic City car theft spree, multiple charges filed

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Three teenagers were arrested on December 27 in connection with a series of incidents involving a stolen vehicle, according to the Atlantic City Police Department. The arrests were carried out by Officer Quinten Bell.

A 15-year-old male from Atlantic City faces multiple charges, including joyriding, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, criminal mischief, serious injury with eluding, resisting arrest, and attempting to elude police. Authorities did not release further details about the injuries involved.

A 14-year-old female from Egg Harbor Township was also arrested and charged with joyriding and receiving a stolen motor vehicle. She was taken into custody without incident, police reported.

Additionally, a 13-year-old male from Atlantic City was apprehended and charged with joyriding, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and attempting to advertise or sell master keys. Police said the teen was allegedly in possession of tools used to gain access to vehicles.

Law enforcement officials have not disclosed how the teenagers came into possession of the stolen vehicle, but investigations are ongoing.

The arrests highlight growing concerns about youth involvement in car thefts, officials noted.
