MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A man sustained life-threatening injuries early Wednesday morning after crashing his Ford Thunderbird into a parked SUV, causing a chaotic chain reaction on Cedar Lane.
The incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. in the 9800 block of Cedar Lane. According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, the impact from the collision flipped the parked SUV onto its roof, which then struck an unoccupied pickup truck.
Emergency responders transported the driver of the Ford to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition remains critical as police continue their investigation.
The crash forced a temporary closure of Cedar Lane between Interstate 495 and Saul Road as investigators examined the scene. Police advised drivers to take alternate routes until the area was reopened later in the morning.
