SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. — A violent shooting erupted in a residential area of Spotsylvania County on Tuesday evening, leaving three people dead and two others hospitalized, authorities confirmed.

Gunfire erupts in residential circle

The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the Olde Greenwich Circle neighborhood, a typically quiet community. Responding units found multiple victims at the scene, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office. Two victims were transported to a nearby hospital, while three were pronounced dead on-site.

Authorities initially said they were still working to confirm how many individuals were responsible for the shooting.

Suspects arrested, investigation ongoing

By Wednesday morning, the sheriff’s office confirmed that all suspects connected to the shooting had been taken into custody. No further details have been released on the identities of the suspects or the victims, and the condition of the injured individuals remains unknown.
