BALTIMORE, MD — A Queen Anne’s County woman has claimed a $50,000 Maryland Lottery Pick 5 prize from the July 18 midday drawing, providing a financial boost as she approaches retirement.

The Eastern Shore resident claimed her winnings July 22 at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. The winning ticket was purchased at Airpark BP, located at 19230 Woodfield Road in Gaithersburg.

In addition to the $50,000 prize, the retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Maryland Lottery officials confirmed the payout is the largest win the woman has ever claimed. Pick 5 remains one of the Lottery’s most popular games, offering players daily drawings and multiple prize levels.
