Xenia, OH – A Xenia resident has claimed the $500,000 top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s $500,000 Cashword scratch-off game, turning a $10 ticket into a six-figure windfall.

The winning ticket was purchased at True North #717, located at 11 Ranchview Drive in Vandalia. After 28 percent in state and federal tax withholdings, the winner will take home $360,000.

$500,000 Cashword is a $10 scratch-off game offering a $500,000 top prize. As of August 14, two top prizes remain unclaimed in the game.

Since its inception in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to fund education programs across the state.
