Carlisle lottery player wins $25K a year for life with Lucky for Life ticket
Carlisle, OH – A routine stop at a local gas station turned into a lifelong payday for one lucky player in Carlisle who matched five numbers in the Lucky for Life drawing — earning a prize of $25,000 a year for life.
The winning ticket, sold at the Zip In located at 9216 Dayton Oxford Road, matched all five white ball numbers drawn on Wednesday night: 5, 40, 42, 47, and 48. The Lucky Ball number was 10 — the only number the ticket didn’t match, keeping the player just one ball away from the top prize of $1,000 a day for life.
The auto-pick ticket still scored the game’s second-tier prize, which guarantees $25,000 annually for the rest of the winner’s life. The identity of the winner has not yet been released, and they now have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize through the Ohio Lottery.
Lucky for Life is a multi-state draw game played in over two dozen states, with drawings held nightly. The game’s two top prize levels are paid for life, making it one of the few lottery games with lifetime annuity options.
Zip In, the retailer that sold the winning ticket, could also receive a bonus for its role in the sale once the prize is officially claimed.
