GAITHERSBURG, Md. — A 17-year-old male from Silver Spring has been charged after police say he made two bomb threats to Rockville Internal Medicine last Thursday, prompting a full-scale evacuation and emergency response.
Authorities said the calls were made minutes apart, around 9:40 a.m. and 9:42 a.m., to the medical office located in the 1200 block of Seven Locks Road.
The threats led to an immediate evacuation as multiple police and fire agencies responded to ensure the safety of staff, patients, and nearby residents.

Evacuation and police response
Following the bomb threat calls, officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police and Rockville City Police, along with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue, secured the area and conducted a full search of the building. Officials confirmed that no explosives or hazardous materials were found, and the threat was determined to be unfounded.
The incident caused significant disruption to operations at Rockville Internal Medicine, which serves hundreds of patients daily.
Teen identified and charged
An investigation led by the Montgomery County Police Behavioral Assessment and Administrative Unit identified the 17-year-old suspect as the caller. Authorities have not released his name due to his age.
