Armed robbery reported in Northeast DC as police search for masked suspects

Washington, DC — A robbery in broad daylight has prompted a police investigation in Northeast DC, where two masked suspects reportedly targeted a victim in a residential area Tuesday afternoon.

The incident took place around 4 p.m. in the 3200 block of Theodore Hagans Drive NE, according to a crime alert issued by the Metropolitan Police Department’s 5th District. Officers responded to the scene and are now actively searching for two suspects involved in the crime.

Witnesses told police the suspects are two Black males. One was last seen wearing a red hoodie and a purple ski mask, while the other was dressed entirely in black. Authorities have not said whether a weapon was used or if anyone was injured during the robbery.

As of Wednesday, no arrests have been made, and the suspects remain at large. The area, which includes townhomes and residential buildings near Fort Lincoln Park, was briefly canvassed by MPD units following the alert.
