Suspect caught with crack cocaine after fleeing drug investigators in Brooklyn Park

Brooklyn Park, MD – A 21-year-old man was arrested last week after investigators say he tried to flee police in a Brooklyn Park neighborhood where officers were targeting illegal drug activity following multiple community complaints.

On November 10, detectives with the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Northern Strategic Patrol Team were monitoring the area of Cross Street and Wasena Avenue as part of a weeks-long investigation into suspected narcotics sales. Officers observed a man known to have an active warrant for a probation violation.

When detectives attempted to approach, the suspect fled on foot but was quickly apprehended. A search revealed he was carrying multiple packages of suspected crack cocaine totaling more than 11 grams.

The seized items included:

  • 17 plastic containers (approx. 8.19 grams)
  • 1 clear vial (approx. 1.44 grams)
  • 1 plastic bag (approx. 2.08 grams)

The suspect, identified as Tishawn Kendol Parker of Brooklyn Park, was arrested and taken into custody. Charges are pending in connection with the drugs recovered during the arrest and the outstanding warrant.

The arrest was part of a broader effort by detectives between November 10 and 14 to address drug activity in the area following repeated community concerns.
