MPD searching for suspects in attempted robbery near 4th Street SW
Washington, DC — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects caught on camera after an attempted robbery Monday afternoon in Southwest Washington.
At approximately 4:35 p.m. on December 8, officers responded to the 1200 block of 4th Street SW after a report that a group of individuals had tried to rob a person by grabbing their coat. The victim managed to escape and alert authorities. The suspects fled the area before officers arrived.
No injuries were reported during the incident, and no property was stolen.
Surveillance footage captured images of the suspects, which MPD has released in hopes of generating leads. Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
