LAKEWOOD, N.J. – A Lakewood man was arrested earlier this month after allegedly driving under the influence while his license was suspended from a prior DWI conviction, according to Ocean County jail records.
Authorities identified the suspect as Antonio Ascencion Huerto-Clara, who was taken into custody on December 5, 2025, and booked into the Ocean County Jail.
Court documents show Huerto-Clara was charged with operating a motor vehicle during a second or subsequent DWI license suspension (2C:40-26B), driving without a license (39:3-10), and driving while intoxicated (39:4-50).

Under New Jersey statute, operating a vehicle while under suspension for a previous DWI is a fourth-degree crime that carries a mandatory minimum jail sentence upon conviction.
