Gunfire reported at South Bay Inn in Myrtle Beach, three arrested after police track suspects

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Three individuals have been taken into custody following a shooting incident early Tuesday morning at a beachfront hotel in Myrtle Beach, according to police.

At approximately 12:40 a.m. on December 9, officers responded to reports of shots fired at the South Bay Inn, located at 1401 South Ocean Boulevard. While no injuries were reported, responding units located damage to the building consistent with gunfire.

Myrtle Beach Police Department officers secured the scene and launched an immediate investigation. Using technology from the department’s Real Time Crime Unit, investigators were able to track three individuals who fled the area to a separate location.

All three suspects were later arrested. Their names and specific charges have not yet been released, and police say additional information will be made available as the investigation progresses.
